This 1970 Omega Chronostop is unique and wonderful simplified chronograph. The Chronostop is unique in that it allows the wearer to track seconds like a traditional chronograph but uses only a single pusher to do so. When the wearer engages the pusher the center seconds hand starts tracking seconds, engage the pusher again and the center seconds hand resets back to 0–a simple and unique way to anything up to 60 seconds. Besides the center second chronograph hand, the hour, minute, and date operate like a traditional watch and keep track of the current time independently. The best of both worlds! This watch features a wonderful textured matte black dial with a racing second outer track, a wonderful orange wedge second hand, and a date at 3 o’clock. The watch features a new acrylic crystal, delicately cleaned dial and hands, original case, new bracelet, and an Omega 920 lateral clutch cam-driven movement that that has been overhauled and restored to OEM specs. The watch is in beautiful restored condition as per our extensive restoration and authentication process.

This Omega Chronostop features an overhauled and restored original Omega 920 movement that runs at 21,600 vph and tracks seconds up to 60. The movement is manual wind and has a good power reserve. The Omega 920 movement used in this watch is the same as the Omega Speedmaster 861 moonwatch movement with the hour and minute registers deleted. The watch is 36mm in diameter and takes a 18mm strap. The new bracelet will fit wrists up to 8″. The dial, case, movement, crown are all signed Omega. The caseback, crown, and chronograph pusher have new gaskets and combined with the new crystal, this watch features mid-range water resistance.

As with all our restored pieces we sell, this Omega Chronostop comes with our zero-headache warranty.
