Return To ShopThe Venus 181 watch movement, also known as the Wehrmachtswerk or Germany Military Movement, is comparable to the AS 1130. It belongs to a line of movements that includes the 1142, 1149, 1243, 1286, 1295, 1304, 1339, 1383, 1387, 1392, 1399, 1401, 1420, 1487, 1502, 1522, 1540, 1542, 1548, 1573, 1597, 1667, and 1685, but the differences between them are not known. Within this line, there are two calibers with a 13.5''' size: the 1337 and 1511, and two calibers with a 14''' size: the 1486 and 1543. Additionally, there are three calibers within this line that feature an indirect sweep second: the 1155, 1164, and 1195. However, these movements had a short production period and were soon replaced by the AS 1188, which features a direct sweep second. The Venus 181 movement is a manual wind movement with sub seconds and was likely used around 1955.
