Return To ShopThe Savoie 237BC watch movement was introduced during the period of 1953-1955. It features a patented double-excenter winding system with jewelled rollers and a jewel-bearing rotor. The inclusion of an intermediate wheel between the minute pinion and the rest of the train allows for a large balance and low profile, maintaining its sturdiness. This layout also permits the placement of the seconds wheel in either the center or a sub-second position without requiring additional modifications. Some early samples of the movement had a hidden balance cock and were partially or completely pink gold plated, while late samples featured a new rotor lock and ring balance. Additionally, the movement offers automatic winding, sweep seconds, and a date function that can be set by changing between 20:45 and 24-hour markers.
