Return To ShopThe Roamer 436 watch movement was produced from 1963 onwards, primarily for De Luxe models. It features an optional date hand and operates through manual winding. The movement incorporates an indirectly driven minute hand and a space-saving rocker direction inverter. One notable aspect is the integration of the self-winding gear within the movement itself, resulting in a remarkably thin yet durable design. The minute wheel is positioned alongside the barrel, driven by an intermediate wheel and allowing for a thinner construction. Depending on the direction of the rotor's revolution, the rocker wheels drive either directly or via an intermediate wheel, ultimately transferring the winding energy to the barrel's ratchet wheel. The inclusion of intermediate wheels ensures that the train, self-winding assembly, and barrel are arranged in a single layer, achieving a low profile without compromising stability. Additionally, the barrel features two gears coupled by hook levers, enabling independent manual winding and reducing wear.
