It utilizes a Kif-Duofix combined setting for the escapement wheel and consists of 17 jewels. Since 2001, it has been produced under the same designation calibre with a larger date function, based on the ETA 2671/2678 movement. The Oris 290 movement offers manual winding, a sub-second display, and a date complication. This movement was commonly used circa 1960.
