Return To ShopThe Orient 1942 watch movement features a self-winding gear made from beryllium bronze. It incorporates springless pawl wheels with hook-levers, boasting two levers and 15 teeth. This design ensures high efficiency comparable to ratchet wheels with 60 teeth but with enhanced durability, enabled by large teeth and the omission of a click spring. The levers are adjustable to compensate for wear. The movement exhibits automatic functionality, sweep seconds, and includes a date feature set by changing the 21-24 hour time. Additionally, it offers a power reserve display of approximately 45 hours. This movement was commonly used around 1960.
