It is the predecessor to a model with two date jumpers, allowing the date to be advanced by setting the hands back and forth between 20:30 and 24h. However, in this model, the hands must be set 24 hours to change the date. The design choice for this method is unclear, as the single date jumper in the successor family allowed for quicker date setting. The Omega 564 movement features automatic winding, sweep seconds, and a calendar function. It was commonly used in watches manufactured around the 1960s.
