Return To ShopThe Movado 408 watch movement features a jewel-bearing rotor and a sophisticated excenter self-winding mechanism with just one gear stage. It is equipped with an easy-to-operate rotor lock and early samples have a slip spring, while late samples have a fixed mainspring and a friction clutch on the pawl wheel. This movement offers a range of functions including automatic winding, a sweep second hand, and a date function that can be set by changing the 20:30-24 hour position. It also incorporates shock protection. The Movado 408 movement was used around the period of 1955.
