Return To ShopThe Montilier 61 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement and a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. It has a unique design where the train and hand gear are separately driven by the barrel, with the train being driven by the eccentric minute wheel. The hand gear, consisting of the minute pinion and the friction coupled cannon pinion, is driven by the minute pinion running on the post. This design achieves a low profile but requires high precision due to the significant coupling of wheels between the second and minute hands. The movement allows for manual winding and was used during the period of approximately 1975.
