Return To ShopThe Longines 345 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement and a sophisticated excenter self-winding mechanism with a single gear stage. The rotor arbor's excenter action controls a lever, which turns a ratchet wheel through two clicks. On the dial side, a planet differential gear combines the automatic and manual winding forces and transfers them to the barrel arbor using two planet wheels. This enables different gear ratios and allows for effective decoupling of both winding sources. The movement includes automatic, sweep seconds, and was used around 1970.
