Return To ShopThe Gruen 790SS watch movement is a detached manual wind movement. It shares many similarities with the A. Schild 1571 movement, but the exact differences are not known. The Gruen 790SS movement features an automatic mechanism and sweep second function. It includes a day indicator without a quickset feature, and the date can be set using a pusher located at the 2 o'clock position. The movement also includes a center seconds hand and was commonly used around the 1960s.
