Return To ShopThe Gruen 710CA watch movement features a ball-bearing rotor and a sophisticated excenter self-winding mechanism with just one gear stage. This movement incorporates the "magic lever" principle, which was first used in Seiko automatics around 1970 and was also present in the early Otero automatics from the 1950s. The automatic module is assembled using only two screws. While there are slight variations in the mainsprings among the Otero 800 through 907 generations, these differences are not significant. The Gruen 710CA movement offers automatic winding, sweep seconds, and a quickset date function. It was primarily utilized around 1975.
