Return To ShopThe Gruen 622 watch movement, introduced in 1925, has been recognized as one of the thinnest movements for many decades. With a thickness of approximately 1.64mm, it remained unrivaled until the release of the Audemars Piguet 2003, which achieved a slightly lower thickness. The movement features an escapement wheel initially coated in Lubrifix 66, later replaced by Kif Duofix. Additionally, since around 1985, the movement incorporates the Kif Ultraflex shock absorber. The Gruen 622 movement is a manual wind movement and has been in use since its introduction in 1925.
