Return To ShopThe General 111 watch movement is a pin-lever escapement with indirect minute and a hand friction clutch on the barrel. The releasing stem is operated by strongly pulling the crown while turning it counterclockwise, while the inserting stem is operated by strongly depressing the crown while turning it counterclockwise. There are various variants within this movement family, although the details are poorly documented. The movements are typically signed with the designation of the most commonly produced variant, and additional codes may be included to indicate specific features when the official designation is unknown. Key functions of this movement include manual winding, a sweep second hand, and it was utilized from 1974 onwards.
