The Fontainemelon 965 is an open-faced watch movement introduced in 1962. Its winding gear is fitted with a rocker on the back side, and it incorporates a barrel with Geneva stopwork. This movement offers multiple functions, including a timer with measurements of 1s (0.1s), 60s, and 60min, controlled by a pillar wheel mechanism. It also features stem winding and sub-dials for 1/10 seconds, seconds, and minutes. Additionally, it includes a stop over wheel on the escape-wheel arbor for precise 1/10 second timing. Early samples of this movement may have an additional balance brake.
