The ETA 842 is a mechanical watch movement that was initially produced in 1938. Early samples of this movement featured a bimetallic balance. It is a manual wind movement with a sub-second function. The date hand on this movement can be set using the pusher at the 2 o'clock position. The ETA 842 movement was commonly used until around 1955.
