Return To ShopThe ETA 612 watch movement, produced by the Watch Factory Tschistopol in the period from 1957 onwards, is a chronometer movement. It is mostly nickel plated, with some variants featuring gold plating. The movement incorporates a Breguet hairspring and employs a unique configuration where the minute and second hands are indirectly driven, with the escape-wheel bearing positioned underneath the balance. This design allows for a larger balance. The movements for Wolna and Vostok watches had to meet stringent testing standards resembling those of the COSC, with movements that failed these tests being allocated for use in the more affordable brand, Almaz. The ETA 612 movement features manual winding and a sweep second function.
