The ETA 2896 watch movement is the equivalent of the Record 1955 and Longines 501 movements, with the exception of the rotor design. It is a Record design that was later adopted by Longines after acquiring Record. It is unclear if there were other variants available as Wittnauer calibres. Manual-wind versions and automatic versions without a date have been observed from Wittnauer, but not yet from Record or Longines. The specific differences between the C11KAS and C11KAS1 are not known. This automatic movement features a sweep second hand and a date function that can be set by changing the time to 19:30-24h. It was primarily used around the year 1968.
