The ETA 2724R watch movement is equipped with a pin-lever escapement. In later versions of this movement, a glued hairspring terminal was added. It features a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. The train and hand gear are strangely driven separately by the barrel. This movement offers several functions, including automatic winding, sweep seconds hand, day display with a +/-24h setting, and a quickset date feature.
