The ETA 2623R watch movement, in use since 1962, features a micro rotor and double jewel bearing. It incorporates a double excenter regulator for curb pins and stud carrier, as well as a self-winding gear with direction switching facilitated by a pinion floating between two large jewels. The movement's indirectly driven minute hand design allows for a low profile. Since approximately 1966/67, there have been minor modifications to the base plate and a simplified date driver. Additionally, the movement offers functions such as automatic winding, date adjustment, Incabloc shock protection, and a calendar feature.
