Return To ShopThe ETA 1179 is a mechanical watch movement that was produced from 1927 to 1930, with approximately 3,000 units manufactured during this period. It features an open face calibre design, a bimetallic screw balance with four adjustment screws, and a Breguet hairspring. The movement incorporates patented big bearings for the crown- and ratchet wheel, as well as a barrel with Geneva stopwork. It shares similarities with the IWC 52 19'''H5, but does not have a set pin. The watch movement is designed for stem winding and setting, and includes a sub-second function.
