Return To ShopThe ETA 1140 is a manual wind mechanical watch movement with a sweep seconds function. It features a wheel between the barrel and minute pinion, allowing for the placement of the center-second wheel and barrel in the same layer and resulting in a relatively thin movement. The revolution direction of the barrel has been modified, requiring an additional wheel in the winding gear. The barrel and setting assembly have been modified to enable a strongly bevelled base plate. The 1510 movement is designed for use with strongly domed dials. This movement offers various additional functions depending on the specific model, including date hand, day and date, day, date hand, and month indications. The ETA 1140 movement was commonly used during the period around 1950.
