It incorporates an experimental screw balance mechanism following the design by Ditisheim and Guillaume, accompanied by small bimetallic segments. The movement also includes an Elinvar Breguet-hairspring and a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. In terms of functionality, it offers stem winding and setting, as well as a sub-second display. The Elgin 193 movement was prevalent around the year 1925.
