Return To ShopThe Dugena 1198 watch movement incorporates a pin-lever escapement and a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. Its design features a separate drive for the train and hand gear, with the train driven by the eccentric minute wheel and the hand gear driven by the minute pinion and friction-coupled cannon pinion. The intention of this design is to achieve a low profile, although high precision is required due to the involvement of multiple wheels in the coupling between the second and minute hand. The movement allows for manual winding and includes a sweep second hand, however, it does not have a second hand function. The Dugena 1198 movement was commonly used around 1975.
