In late samples of this movement, the hairspring terminal is glued. Interestingly, the barrel separately drives both the train and hand gears. This movement is capable of manual winding and includes a sweep second hand. It offers day and date displays, with the day function settable by +/-24 hours and the date function employing a quickset by reverse setting. The Diehl 156 movement utilizes a pin lever escapement and was commonly used during the approximate period of 1970.
