Return To ShopThe Cortebert 540S is a mechanical movement used in manual-wind chronograph watches. It was produced from 1916 to 1974, with over 125,000 units manufactured. The movement features a pillar wheel mechanism and offers various functions, including a 60-second chronograph, a sub-second subdial, and a 30 or 45-minute chronograph register. Early samples of the Cortebert 540S were equipped with a Breguet hairspring, while later samples included a flat hairspring and a mobile stud carrier. Additionally, the movement could be equipped with an optional Triovis regulator.
