Return To ShopThe Citizen 8228A watch movement, introduced in 1966, features a ball-bearing rotor with a peripheral gear out of center. It is equipped with 5 ruby balls. The movement includes a rather large balance and a ratchet on the dial side. The crown mechanism incorporates a rocker bar. Functionally, the movement is automatic, with a sweep second hand. It also includes a date feature, set by changing 21-24 hours. The Citizen 8228A movement was utilized from 1966 onwards.
