The Buser 140 manual wind movement, also known as the Langendorf 722, belongs to the Langendorf 1 to 160 generation. These calibres come in different dimensions and are designated with numbers denoting their generations. Later versions of the movement received a new designation that includes the width in whole lignes and the old generation number. The Buser 140 movement features a sub second function and was commonly used around the period of 1945.
