Return To ShopThe Buren 539 watch movement, manufactured between 1962 and
features a micro rotor and can have 21 or 30 jewels with a double jewel bearing. It incorporates a double excenter regulator for curb pins and stud carrier, and the selfwinding gear includes a pinion that floats between two large jewels, allowing for direction switching. The movement's indirectly driven minute hand allows for a low profile design. Minor modifications to the base plate and simplified date driver were implemented in 1966/67. The movement offers a range of functions, including automatic winding, a date feature that can be set by changing the 23-24 hour time, and a sub-seconds display. It also includes a calendar feature. The Buren 539 movement is noted to have been used from 1962 onwards.
