Return To ShopThe Brac 181 watch movement features a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. The train and hand gear are driven separately by the barrel A. The train is driven by the excentric minute wheel B, while the hand gear is driven by the minute pinion D, running on post C, and the friction coupled cannon pinion E on it. This design allows for a low profile but demands precision due to the involvement of multiple wheels in the coupling between the second and minute hand. It should be noted that shake-free transmission provisions, typically found in expensive movements, are not present, resulting in a certain level of play in the minute hand when set. Functionally, the Brac 181 movement offers manual winding, sweep seconds, a Jeweled Lever, and was used approximately around 1975.
