Return To ShopThe Alpina 117 watch movement is an open face calibre equipped with a bimetallic screw balance and a Breguet hairspring. The lever and escape wheel are made of anodized aluminium, and the movement can be optionally fitted with Reed's regulator. It features an early two-section regulator for coarse and fine adjustment and employs a steel bearing for the stem. The two-part crown wheel incorporates a large bearing, which is identifiable by the rotating screw head during winding. Both the crown-wheel screw and the ratchet-wheel screw are left-handed. The Alpina 117 movement is either available as an ebauche or a finished movement from Recta. It offers stem winding and setting capabilities, as well as a sub-second function. The movement was commonly used around the year 1915.
