Return To ShopThe A. Schild 1636 watch movement features a rotor placed out of center and an integrated winding gear, resulting in a remarkably slim design for its time. It incorporates a detached manual wind mechanism and introduced the innovation of a screw balance, later transitioning to a ring balance. Notably, for Ocean Star models, the split stem cannot be detached by pulling the crown; instead, it detaches when the movement is rotated to a specific angle. This movement offers automatic winding, sweep second functionality, and a date feature that is adjusted by changing the 20-24 hour position. Its period of use is estimated around 1963.
