Return To ShopThe A. Schild 1023 watch movement features a straight lever and a unique train system consisting of two additional wheels, C and D, positioned between the 3rd wheel, B, and the sweep-second wheel, E. The escape wheel, G, is driven indirectly by the sweep-second wheel through a further wheel, F. This arrangement limits the available space for a large balance and barrel, and incurs additional costs. The movement, considered a beautiful oddity, includes manual winding and a sweep-second function. It was primarily used around 1945.
