So you’ve taken the back off of your watch to learn about the movement housed inside. Perhaps there are no obvious markings, or there are multiple markings and you’re unsure which marking denotes the brand or reference. Traditionally, without knowing the exact brand and reference of the movement you would be stuck–this is where the EmmyWatch Database Image Search comes in.
Take a picture of the movement you’re interested in, and add it to your EmmyWatch Database search. The EmmyWatch Database will find the best movement matches in the database based on the image you uploaded. It’s as easy as that.
Here’s how to get started:
Searching for a movement by image works best if you take a picture of the movement in from directly top-down in good light. Avoid taking a picture with too many shadows or bright sections, try to keep the image similar to what you see in the EmmyWatch watch database, notice how they are all taken from directly top-down. Don’t worry about cropping, that will come next.
